Finding each other is just the beginning

Building a healthy relationship takes more than finding the right person. It takes understanding yourselves, learning how to navigate your differences, and intentionally creating the kind of connection you both want.

Whether you're stepping into something new or enhancing a relationship you've had for years, your relationship can be a source of strength, comfort, and fulfillment throughout the changes life brings.

What brings couples to coaching?

You don't have to wait until something is wrong to invest in your relationship. Sometimes it's about creating something new, sometimes it's about navigating life's changes together, and sometimes it's about working through the things that keep getting in your way.

You’re starting something new

You're building a relationship after divorce or past relationship challenges, and you both want this time to be different. You're ready to understand what hasn't worked before and create a healthier foundation together.

You’re navigating a new chapter together

Marriage, parenting, becoming empty nesters, or retirement can bring significant changes to your lives and your relationship. You want to understand how those changes are affecting each of you, stay connected, and find new ways of moving forward together.

You’re heading in a challenging direction

Things aren't bad between you, but they're not quite what you'd hoped for either. You're noticing little changes in how you connect, communicate, or enjoy each other, and you don't want those changes to become your norm.

“We observed immediate efficiency improvements after the implementation plan was executed precisely as outlined.”

What Brings Couples to Coaching?

Relationship coaching is a guided, structured process designed to help you gain a deeper awareness of the dynamics at play in your relationship. Together, we’ll explore both your and your partner's roles in these dynamics and learn how to shift them in ways that create greater understanding, ease, and connection.

Clients have described this coaching process as “priceless” and “worth more than gold.” It enriches your connection, provides practical frameworks for navigating difficult conversations, and brings a sense of inner peace that you’ve been longing for.

“I am more aware and intentional in my approach towards my partner. If I find myself reverting to “old” ways of communicating, I am able to take a deep breath and redirect my own behaviors in a healthy manner, which allows for more meaningful conversation with purpose. I also find that my spouse has become more open to deeper and meaningful conversations and has become more compassionate towards seeing where I come from which makes me feel more heard, loved and accepted.” ~ Audrey

What can you expect from coaching?

My approach to relationship coaching is rooted in a deep understanding of human connection, the neuroscience of behavior and pattern change, relationship dynamics, and a mindful viewpoint of the challenges these relationships bring.
Here are some of the ways I can help couples:

“My favorite part of the process is being able to practice the structured tools and teachings provided. Understanding the phases we go through methodically and emotionally has been helpful. The breathing and meditation exercises helped me to shut out all the thoughts in my head and put me in a place where I could focus, be calm, and listen to my partner. The lessons I learned are about making progress in myself and with others.” ~ Mike

What makes coaching with Jen different?

Throughout my years of coaching individuals to develop their inner strengths and resources, I’ve observed a common challenge: many of my clients feel stuck in their closest relationships. Recognizing this, I sought specialized training from a highly experienced couple—she is a coach, and he is a mental health therapist—who have spent over 14 years helping couples shift their relationship dynamics, having first experienced these transformations themselves.

By combining my certification as a Thriving Relationships coach with my background in neuroscience, mindfulness, and behavior change from Duke Integrative Medicine, I’ve developed a unique approach to relationship coaching. This approach blends individual growth with relationship-focused strategies, creating an environment where both partners can experience personal transformation that not only improves their relationship but also positively influences many other aspects of their lives.
